The Beta Demo for the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion is finally out for PS+ subscribers.

The beta gives you three quests, each of a different difficulty. These include the staple Great Jagras for Beginners, the new Banbaro for Intermediate hunters, and the fan favorite Tigrex for the veterans or those who like the challenge.

I never fought Tigrex before since MHW was the first MH game I ever got serious in. I'm actually a bow main. I only picked up the charge blade just three weeks ago because that one ice-type charge blade interested me, and it's been a fun weapon.

Anyway, for the Tigrex quest, you are given 20 minutes to clear it. Tigrex itself was a very relentless monster, being able to charge at you, turn on a dime, and then charge at you again. When Tigrex made that point very clear to me, I decided to tackle this with the CB. The shield helped so much. Also, the developers were also nice enough to stock us up with a generous amount of items.

This thing took me a few tries before I got a good feel of its behavior. All I can say is that once the full expansion hits, I'll build a better, harder-hitting set and "express to Tigrex how I feel." Hopefully with the bow this time, though SAEDs are fun to do in this game.

My favorite part? 12:00
Cutting Tigrex's tail with the morph-to-axe slash while Tigrex charges at me. Then, landing an SAED while surviving a hit from one of Tigrex's snowballs. I carted afterwards, but yeah, #worth.

Also, 15:00, where Tigrex charges at me, but then, "morph-to-sword" slash on Tigrex's hand.

It's not a speedrun, but I still do hope you enjoy it.
